" Payung Teduh " Indonesian Alternative Keroncong Band

Payung Teduh - an Indonesian alternative band genre fusion of Folk, and Jazz Keroncong or commonly called Indie Music. The band was born from two friends who work as a musician in the Pagupon Theater were happy to hang out together in the cafeteria of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Indonesia, they are Mohammad Istiqamah Djamad (Is) and Comi Aziz Kariko who love to play music together in the cafeteria, hallways campus building , the edge of the lake to the event - the event off campus.

Are not aware of their togetherness in playing music has strengthened their musical character and has been known for people around who often watched them play music together.

Payung Teduh formed in late 2007 with initial formation Is and Comi, conscious exploration of sound and stage performance in 2008 Payung Teduh invite Cito to join together as a drummer and invites Ivan as a player in 2010. Angin Pujaan Hujan was the first song that elicits their own color.

Over time also created other songs such as Ku Cari Kamu, Amy, Untuk Perempuan Yang 

Sedang Dalam Pelukan, also including works of theater alongside the Catur Ari Wibowo like

Resah, Cerita tentang Gunung dan Laut, as well as the work of Amalia Puri titled Tidurlah 

dan Malam. In the end Payung Teduh decided to make his first indie album was released
